LMIA approved. This employer is approved to hire a foreign worker into this role, which is what lets a work permit be issued for it. It does not by itself make you eligible.

About this role

Val-d'Or Forage Minier is a drilling contractor that sends crews and equipment to remote sites across Canada, and we need a travel agent to keep those people moving. You will work from our Beaubassin East office, booking flights, ground transport, and camp arrangements for field staff, and handling changes when weather or site schedules shift.

Most of your day is spent on the phone and at the computer: confirming itineraries with airlines and charter operators, tracking down seats for a crew that has to move on short notice, and keeping the travel calendar current. You will also prepare documents, file receipts, and answer questions from workers heading out or coming home. We will train you on our booking systems and on how our rotations work.

What you'll be doing

  • Bookings. Arrange flights, vehicle rentals, and camp stays for field crews travelling to and from site.
  • Changes. Rework itineraries when flights cancel or a rotation date moves, and confirm new arrangements with the worker and the site supervisor.
  • Records. Keep the travel calendar, itineraries, and expense receipts filed and up to date in our system.
  • Support. Answer travel questions from staff by phone and email and issue the documents they need before departure.

What they're asking for

  • Entry level. No prior travel agency experience is needed; we provide on-the-job training in our booking tools and procedures.
  • Language. English at CLB 6 or better for phone work with carriers and crews; French is an asset for dealing with New Brunswick suppliers.
  • Organization. Comfort keeping several bookings and deadlines straight at once, with careful attention to dates, names, and connection times.
  • Eligibility. Legally entitled to work in Canada and able to work onsite at our Beaubassin East office.

What the employer offers

  • Training. Paid onboarding on our booking platforms and rotation schedules.
  • Cover. Group health and dental benefits after three months.
  • Gear. A company laptop and phone line for work use are provided.
