About this role

Northmoor Plumbing & Heating is a small plumbing and heating contractor in Airdrie serving homes and businesses across the Airdrie and north Calgary area. The office keeps the crews moving, and this role is the first point of contact for customers booking service calls, requesting quotes, and following up on work already scheduled.

The day is spent on the phone and at the computer: booking appointments into the dispatch schedule, answering questions about pricing and timing, preparing quotes and invoices, and keeping customer files and supplier records current. The work is steady and office-based, with occasional errands in town.

What you'll be doing

  • Customer contact. Answer incoming calls and emails, book service calls, and pass messages to the field crews.
  • Scheduling. Keep the daily dispatch board current and confirm appointments with customers ahead of time.
  • Paperwork. Prepare quotes, invoices, and work orders, and file completed job records.
  • Office support. Order supplies, track inventory, and keep the front office tidy and organized.

What they're asking for

  • Education. High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Communication. Clear spoken and written English for phone and email contact with customers and suppliers.
  • Computer skills. Comfortable with email, spreadsheets, and scheduling or invoicing software; training provided on our system.
  • Conditions. Legally entitled to work in Canada and able to commute to the Airdrie office.

What the employer offers

  • Training. Paid onboarding on our scheduling and invoicing software.
  • Benefits. Health and dental coverage after three months.
  • Gear. Company laptop and phone provided for office use.
